Pierre Montale founded his Parisian house in 2003 after the perfume culture of the East, and oud in particular, had made a lasting impression on him. Montale made this precious wood a central theme of his work in Europe. Alongside oud, rose, amber, spices and leather are recurring materials. The fragrances are usually intense and concentrated, inspired by the idea of a journey between Paris and the East.
