I am Adnan Alagic, the founder of APARU Essence. Perfumes have fascinated me since childhood. With APARU, I want to make exceptional fragrances accessible to more people: personally selected, original and fairly priced.
APARU brings together A for “a”, PAR for perfume and U, pronounced “you”. A perfume for you.
Since childhood, I have been fascinated by perfumes and the memories associated with them. This passion remains with me today. At APARU, I therefore choose every fragrance personally and take the time to get to know it.
My aim is to offer luxury and niche perfumes to a wider audience at fair prices. Anyone drawn to an exceptional fragrance should be able to afford the original, without having to turn to a counterfeit or a dupe purely because of price. Our selection remains deliberately curated: at APARU, what matters is what convinces me personally.
Before a perfume enters the shop, I first obtain a bottle for my private assessment. I open it, test the fragrance myself and check its quality and authenticity. Only when it convinces me do I approve it for our range. We then obtain the goods for our customers separately from our distributors and retailers. My private test bottle is not sold to customers as a new full-size bottle.
Not everyone wants to buy a whole bottle immediately. Our decants and discovery sets let you get to know original fragrances in smaller quantities first. This gives you time to experience a fragrance on your own skin and in everyday life. If you have questions or would like a recommendation, please write to me.
